2017 Apr – Expanded Sub-arc welding capacity

sub-arc weldingDue to increase in demand, LBBC Beechwood have expanded their sub-arc welding capacity. The submerged arc process used for heavy steel plate fabrication work and is ideally suited for longitudinal and circumferential butt and fillet welds.

SAW is a fully-mechanised or automatic process, which improves productivity with high quality welds, high weld deposition rate and travel speed.

LBBC Beechwood use the submerged arc process in the manufacture of medium to larger diameter vessels for pressure and storage with the welding of the longitudinal seams and circ’s. It is also used for surfacing and buildup work, maintenance and repair.
