LBBC Group has been owned by the Pickard family for the majority of its 140 years existence and managed by General Manager Andrew Quayle since August 2019, featured on the left.
The division was created in 2003 to focus on the sub contract services part of the business. These services were developed at various stages of the company’s long history. To find out more information about the history of LBBC, click here.
Andrew, an apprentice trained mechanical engineer, has many years’ experience within world-class manufacturing sector and has spent the last 10 years’ in engineering of pressure equipment for the oil & gas sector. Andrew completed an Accelerated Development Program at the London Business School and has experience of and has implemented LEAN manufacturing across the Group since joining the company.
Early 2021 the division invested a six-figure sum into a large state-of-the-art universal milling machine (CNC machine) as part of a major overhaul.
The company are now able to offer a full end-to-end service in the production of specialist fabrications and complex machined parts, without the need to subcontract part way through the manufacturing process.
These manufacturing services are supported by the company’s ASME ‘U’,S and UM stamps, China M Stamp and ISO9001 accreditations.
